In order to create awareness among the locals and visitors about the cultural and spiritual heritage of this Dham Puri Dist administration has initiated this project taking various passionate stake holders from the heritage sites, scholars, local community and tourism industry.
This walk is being operated and managed by Odisha Eco Tourism Foundation Trust, a not for profit registered trust which is being founded by HERITAGE TOURS, a Govt approved local tour operator with an experience in responsible tourism for more than two decades with active support from Puri Dist. Administration, Department of Tourism, Dist Culture Office and other Stake Holders.

Keeping in mind to include all and the distances between destinations PDHW has been designed for maximum destination by FOOT and at times E-Rickshaw being used to cover long distance to the important shrine.
Also PRIVATE TOUR by E-Rickshaw with AUDIO GUIDE, Heritage Trail by Bicycle is being offered on advance booking.
To preserve its sanctity and spiritual ambience, a strict dress code should be observed within the complex. At points you have to remove shoes if you wish to enter the shirine. Please ask permission before taking pictures, do not pay to any individual in the shrine. How ever if you wish to pay a donation, please ask for the receipt or consult the local guide. Smoking, Chewing Pan or Tobacco, Alcohol is strictly prohibited.
